INNOVATION

Since childhood, I’ve enjoyed finding innovative solutions to every day challenges.

Embracing innovation fuels my curiosity and keeps me engaged with the latest trends in technology and design. While some projects have thrived and others didn’t unfold as expected, I’m deeply proud of each experience and the invaluable lessons they’ve brought.

My first job
Launching my own start-up business

Company: Curriculumvitae.com.br (Brazil)
Role: Founder

Problem:
Despite a wealth of talented tech professionals in Northeast Brazil, there was no accessible platform to connect them with leading tech companies.

Solution:
I founded Curriculumvitae.com.br, one of Brazil’s first online job-hunting services, providing a streamlined way for tech talent to gain visibility and connect with employers. The platform garnered significant media attention, including coverage on TV, in newspapers, and in magazines, attracting interest from major companies like Deloitte and Rede Globo.

Outcome:
The success of the platform led to a partnership with Brazil’s largest communications group and its eventual acquisition by their interactive agency, making a lasting impact on the local job market.

Role: Founder / Lead UX & UI Designer

Problem:
Mobile workers often struggle to find reliable, comfortable places to work remotely.

Solution:
I designed and led the development of CubeFree, an app that simplifies the search for ideal public workspaces, including cafes, libraries, and co-working spaces.

Outcome:
The app launched on the Citrix App Store in 2014, winning the Citrix Innovation Challenge at Citrix Connect 2014. It was also recognized by Fast Company magazine as one of the best new productivity apps. Following its success, CubeFree was officially launched as a Citrix service and announced by the CEO during the annual Synergy event Keynote.

Campus Connect

Company: Citrix
Role: Founder / Lead UX & UI Designer

Problem:
73% of students prefer to keep their academic and social lives separate, yet there was no dedicated platform to support this need.

Solution:
I created and designed CampusConnect, a private mobile app that connects students, faculty, and staff, helping them find the right resources, people, and places to succeed. The platform also provides actionable insights to enhance student success and promote campus safety.

Outcome:
A pilot program was launched at Nova University in Fort Lauderdale, demonstrating the app’s potential to improve student engagement and support academic achievement.

Company: Citrix
Role: Founder / Lead UX & UI Designer
Project type: Innovation

Problem:
Traditional plastic badges lack smart functionality, limiting opportunities for seamless collaboration and secure access.

Solution:
Along with sister Luki (also a Designer at Citrix at that time), we create “Bye-Bye Badge”, a digital alternative that enhances on-campus collaboration using Citrix products. The solution streamlines access management while fostering a more connected and efficient workplace experience.

Outcome:
The project was a finalist in the Citrix Innovation Challenge 2015 and earned the #1 spot in popular votes. A successful pilot was implemented at Citrix Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, serving as a live demonstration for visiting customers and showcasing the future of workplace connectivity.
