Creating a One-Stop Shop for Merchants

Situation:
I was tasked with creating a "Square-like" app, and I had a two-month window to finalize the design and ship the UX to IT to start the development process.

ACTIONS I TOOK
Implemented a workshop culture to gather/validate requirements
Open a small “Merchant Store” inside the office
Leveraged the internal Knowledge
Got out of the building to interview Merchants
Invited Merchants to use the competitor’s products
Built a prototype
Run Usability tests with Merchants (moderated and unmoderated)
Adapted the experience after the Pandemic to incorporate E-commerce
“In person Credit Card payment is a thing of the past”
How I handle pivoting the product due to changes in "behavior after the pandemic.
OUTCOMES
Delivered “Onboarding” in 4 weeks so Dev team could start the project.
Delivered Design Syleguides and Components so Banking and Merchant app could use the same components (in collaboration with Visual Designer)
Delivered the Digital Banking and it’s currently on Pilot
Delivered UX of both apps UX in 3 months
Recipient of “Collaboration Award” in March/2020
Delivered E-commerce solution with low dev impact
