Onboarding and Recruiting

I am a Lead UX Designer for a employee self-recruiting/onboarding software can help companies find the best talent and New Hires complete paperwork before the start date. Below are some key features I worked:


Onboarding Dashboard

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Lead UX/UI Designer (conducted internal design sessions, built interactive prototype, and presented to customers on monthly feedback calls).
Tools: Paper, Sketch, Axure
Problem: Allow Onboarding Owners and Admins to have quick access to New Hire information.
Solution: The Dashboard highlights all important information for managers and admins at a glance, such as: employees that needs to be reverified, distribution of new hires per status / owners, and a list of people that will be onboarded within 2 weeks.
Outcome: The new feature was well received not only by customers, but also in the marketplace and industry analyst community. It helped Ultimate Software achieve o leader position: receiving 5 out of 5 in the Forrester Wave.

branding

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Lead UX / UI Design
Tools: Sketch, Axure
Problem: Allow Admins to customize the New Hire experience.
Solution: Created an interface for Admins to add their own branding (logo, colors, welcome message, etc.).

BULK IMPORT

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Senior UX / UI Design
Tools: Sketch, Axure
Problem: Allow Admins to add multiple New Hires at once.
Solution: Created an interface for Admins to handle "bulk import" of new hires using a CSV file. We also added a template and instructions to help them accomplish this task.

Document library

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Lead UX / UI Design
Tools: Axure, After Effects (for progress bar animation)
Problem: Redesign the experience of adding documents and customized placement of signatures.
Solution: Created wizard where admins define on the 1st step the type of signature that is required and the system responds presenting the next steps accordingly.

Forms

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Lead UX / UI Design
Tools: Axure
Problem: Update several Federal and State forms into our Payroll and Onboarding systems.
Solution: Worked closely with the BAs to make sure the updates translated well from the physical forms to digital, and at the same time compliant with government requirements.


Recruiting job boards

Company: Ultimate Software
Role: Lead UX / UI Design
Tools: Sketch, Axure
Problem: Redesign the Recruiting Job Board experience for candidates so they could easily spot the jobs nearby.
Solution: Enhanced the job search experience by using interactive map so candidates could see all jobs around them. In addition we also enhanced the overall design and experience using filters, featured jobs and creating job alerts.
